Apophis closest approach in recent years

On March 6, 2021 the potentially hazardous asteroid Apophis will pass the Earth at its closet distance of 16,852,899 Km in recent years. The size of Apophis is about 340m and orbits around the Sun in 323.6 days, much faster than the Earth.

It will have extremely close approach on April 13, 2029 with a distance of about 38,000km where the communication satellites orbit. It will be visible to the naked eye on that day and it is unlikely hit the Earth according to the current orbital calculations.
