In order to promote astronomy in the country astronomy division has been conducting night sky observation camps and awareness program for school teachers. Introductory level lectures on astronomy & telescopes were delivered during the program. The teachers get an opportunity to view planets & deep sky objects through modern telescopes while gaining the hands on experience of the operation of telescopes.
