Deep diagnostic and hardware recovery of locomotive controller sub systems of Sri Lanka Railways (Since 2010)

All the sub systems are controlled using microprocessor and digital signal processor based units and due to the unavailability of the service manuals or the circuit diagrams heavy amount of reverse engineering efforts was carried out in all of the sub systems.

1. Reverse engineering and Recovery of microprocessor based sub systems of class M9 locomotive engine management systems of Sri Lanka Railways (Traction control units, Main Processor Units, Driver Display Units, Rectifier Panels, Train Light Panels,  IGBT driver modules, Engine over speed cutoff, Data plugs, Main generator exciter power supply, Diagnostic software). 

2. Reverse engineering and Recovery of microprocessor based sub systems of class S9 power coaches of Sri Lanka Railways (Driver Display consoles, Car Control Systems)

The recoveries were done at a price of 1/4th to that offered by an international party based on Singapore. ACCIMT being intervening to this work had the benefit of know how being acquired with effort by a Sri Lankan organization for training the Sri Lanka Railways technical personnel on the advanced electronic technology related to locomotive controllers, who are lacking in know-how.
