Sri Lanka in United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS)
Sri Lanka was admitted as a full member of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS), the apex international forum on space. The initiative was spearheaded by ACCIMT, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Sri Lanka Mission in Vienna.
This achievement enabled Sri Lanka to safeguard and promote its interests in outer space — one of the Global Commons — while opening doors for strategic partnerships with leading space actors.
