Test carried out :

Testing of Surge Protective Devices

Measurement of Limiting Voltage of Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) Connected to Low Voltage Power Distribution Systems.
  1. Testing of 230V/ 3-wire SPDs for all modes of protection(L-N, L-G, N-G) at one test level only.
  2. Testing of 415V/ 5-wire SPDs, for one phase between Phase-N, Phase-G & N-G at one test level only.
Measurement of Limiting Voltage of Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) Connected to Low Voltage Power Distribution Systems as per Testing Methods Specified in IEC 61643-11
  1. Testing of 230V/3-wire SPDs for one mode of protection (eg. L-N).
  2. Testing of 3-wire SPDs for 2 modes of protection (L-N, L-G).
  3. Testing of 3-wire SPDs for all modes of protection (L-N, L-G, N-G).
  4. Testing of 415V/ 5-wire SPDs, separately between each phase and neutral.
  5. Testing of 415V/ 5-wire SPDs, separately between each Phase-N,Phase-G & N-G.
Measurement of Limiting Voltage of Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) Connected to Telecommunication and Signaling Networks as per Testing Methods Specified in IEC 61643-21
  1. Measurement  of Impulse-limiting voltage as per IEC 61643-21 with 1.2/50 us, 8/20 us combination waveform, 5 pulses from each polarity

Surge Immunity Testing of Electrical Appliances

  1. Testing of equipment/devices with 1.2/50 µs, 8/20 µs Combination wave.
  2. Testing of equipment/devices for surge immunity as per test routines recommended in IEC 61000-4-5.
