The objective of ACCIMT Library & Information
Centre is to facilitate to the professionals and personnel engaged in
Research and Development projects, Graduate and undergraduate students
by providing information to accelerate the introduction of modern technologies
in the fields of Communication, Information Technology, Electronics, Space
Technologies, Robotics etc.


THE COLLECTION
The Library & Information
Centre Collection of over 7500 Books focuses on communication, Information
Technology, Electronics, Space Technologies ,Robotics and Hand Books,
Data Library, Electronic Library (VHS, VCDs, CDs, CD ROMs) , User surveys.
Product guidelines, Application Notes, Design -Oriented text Books, State
of -Art Reviews, Encyclopedias, Directories and Standards are also available.
The specific magazines allocated to Communication, Information Technology,
Space Technologies are available in the periodical section.
HOURS
The Library & Information Centre is open five days a Week. Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm.
MEMBERSHIP
There are two types of membership.
1. Library Personal Membership
Application Form
The Library functions as a special library and offers membership for the personals engaged in research and development projects, undergraduates and postgraduates, students, scientists, scholars and general public with a special interest of above fields of technology are only accepted.
Library Personal Membership: Rs. 500/=
2. Library Institutional
Membership Application Form
This is specially introduced to support the professionals in the public and private industrial sectors engaged in the above fields of technology. The Institute can nominate five (5) members on behalf of it.
Library Institutional Membership : Rs. 2000/=

*Photocopying and scanning services (A reasonable charge is taken only for this)

*Facilities to refer the books collection and souvenirs of Sir Arthur C Clarke
*Current Awareness Service
Applications for the membership (Personal/Institutional) are available
at the library or can be downloaded from our website (www.accimt.ac.lk)
or by sending a self addressed stamped envelope (9X4) to the :
HOW TO FIND A BOOK IN PURNA COMPUTERIZED CATALOGUE
Those who wish to get the information about the collection can access
to the on-line catalogue through the Internet. Computers
are provided for our clients to search and access the library collection.
Clients can search for materials by author, title, or keywords.
