The total lunar eclipse, 31 January 2018, was observed at Arthur C Clarke Institute. Due to heavy cloud cover, the totality could not be observed. However after the totality, the moon peeps out from clouds to show the partial coverage of the latter part of the eclipse.
In order to promote Astronomy among School Children in Sri Lanka, an Astronomy workshop was held at the Arthur C Clark Institute recently. Practical Astronomy activities were included in this workshop which allow students to use the biggest Telescope in Sri Lanka. The objective of this workshop is to enhance the knowledge on Astronomy and other space related fields of students.
